Onifade Kehinde Ridwan
Building software that solves real-world problems.
I'm Kenny — a software engineer, AI engineer, and cybersecurity practitioner with over five years shipping production systems. I build products, automate workflows, and design systems people can trust.
Current focus: Growing SchoolOrbit while deepening expertise in cybersecurity — SOC operations, GRC, and secure architecture.

About
I build products where engineering meets responsibility.
I started in software engineering because I wanted to make things that work — not slide decks or prototypes that never ship. Over five years, I've built across the stack: React and Next.js on the front end, Laravel and Node on the back end, Flutter for mobile, and PostgreSQL and MySQL where data has to be right.
That breadth matters. When you understand how systems connect, you make better tradeoffs — what to automate, what to keep human, and where security cannot be an afterthought.
I founded SchoolOrbit after seeing how much time schools lose to administrative friction. The goal was never to add another dashboard — it was to give teachers their time back and give administrators one place to run their school.
Today I'm deliberately growing into cybersecurity while continuing to ship software. I care about GRC, incident response, and building secure systems — because the products I launch will handle real people's data and real institutions' operations.
I'm most alive when the problem is hard, the users are real, and the solution has to hold up in production.
Experience
Work that compounds.
A timeline of building products, leading delivery, and growing into security practice.
Founder & Lead Engineer
SchoolOrbit · Nigeria
- Founded and built a school management platform used to streamline attendance, academics, fees, and staff operations for schools.
- Led product direction, architecture, and delivery across web and mobile surfaces.
- Designed role-based workflows so administrators spend less time on paperwork and more on education outcomes.
Software Engineer
Enterprise & Product Engineering · Remote · Nigeria
- Shipped production systems with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Laravel, Flutter, and Node.js across SaaS and internal platforms.
- Delivered approval workflows, APIs, and integrations for teams that need reliability at scale.
- Partnered with stakeholders to turn ambiguous requirements into maintainable software with clear ownership.
Security Practitioner (Transition)
Cybersecurity Practice
- Building depth in SOC operations, SIEM, incident response, GRC, and threat analysis alongside engineering work.
- Applying secure-by-design principles to products I build and operate.
- Documenting labs, assessments, and defensive workflows with the same rigor as production engineering.

Writing
Thinking in public
Technical articles on engineering, product, and security — published on Medium to share what I learn while building.
Writing forces clarity. I document architecture decisions, lessons from production incidents, and perspectives on building in the African tech ecosystem.
